Travel to Mammoth

Geographically, Mammoth Lakes is located just west of Hwy. 395, nearly equidistant from Los Angeles to the south and San Francisco to the west. Both cities are approximately 350 stunningly beautiful miles away. The eastern entrance to Yosemite National Park is a day’s hike or a two hour drive from Mammoth. Reno, NV, is about 150 miles north on Highwa 395.

The Town of Mammoth Lakes owns and maintains Mammoth-Yosemite Airport. Private and commercial avation, hangars, and services are fully FAA accredited.

Fly to Mammoth Year-Round on Alaska Airlines

Fly to Mammoth Lakes (MMH) year-round on Alaska Airlines. There are two flights a day in Winer. Summer service from Los Angeles (LAX) includes one-flight per day from LAX to MMH. Call 80-547-9308. or visit for booking or flight information.

The airline operates with Bombardier Q400, 74/76 seat, high-speed, twin-engine aircraft.

In early 2008, the new Library was opened in the College and Culture Center. College student housing is in the process of being built and will house students who are attending Cerro Coso Community College.

Mammoth Lakes Hospital
